Catholic Charities Steuben/Livingston is building communities that care for all people. We serve all people seeking help in a safe, welcoming and comforting environment that feels like being home. Our services empower people to enrich their quality of life from the foundations of: access to resources and opportunities; healthy family functioning; healthy child development, and freedom from substance dependency.
In the course of our work, we often encounter a cultural belief that those suffering the unfairness of scant pay and insufficient opportunity are responsible for causing and fixing their own problems. When possessed of this belief, some may overestimate people’s ability to overcome hardship on their own, and decide against helping them. This can lead people caught in a storm of hopelessness to believe that nobody cares, at a time when they most need the opposite. We are here for you.
