Therapeutic Foster Care provides coordination to ensure that children in foster care receive planned services in support of their overall well-being and their ability to return home. In addition, we recruit, train and support foster parents, providing:
- Pre-service and ongoing training
- 24/7 support
- A generous monthly stipend

The program’s office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and you can reach them via email at HomeFinder@dor.org.
Fees
There are no fees for families to participate in the program. Foster parents are paid a stipend when serving in that role.
How to Enroll
Children who have special psychological, social, emotional or behavioral needs and are in need of foster care are referred to the program. Prospective foster parents come from all walks of life but have things in common including a love for children, dedication to child well-being, and the unique ability to love and let go of children who may return to their birth parents or be adopted. Prospective foster parents must go through a background check and meet certain other requirements. Call 607-324-0909 ext 2022 for further details.
