The Family Support/Family Resource Specialist is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular and long-term contact with families for the purpose of strengthening the parent-child relationship; for identifying and interviewing families to assess their needs, determine eligibility for home visitation services, and provides education to families regarding resources available in Steuben County, for enhancing parenting skills; providing child development education and activities to encourage development as well as offering support in the areas of goal setting, community connections, and family functioning to aid in reducing the family and its members’ overall vulnerability and susceptibility to stress. The Family Resource Specialist is also responsible for nurturing existing partnerships with referral sources as well as seeking and building new relationships in order to increase referrals received and coordinate services. This is a dual position with a $800 sign on bonus!
